my first love

That is the set (in white) that my parents had when I was little. I used to pull up a chair and watch it frim start to finish. My dad bypassed the lid switch so I could see it spin.

Hi Justin. Beautiful pictures. I think turquoise is the prettiest color. Enjoy the machines.

What about the Motorola Radio????

countryford's profile picture
I'm shocked that no one has even pointed out that I have the old motorola radio on top of the dryer, it matches the machines very nicely.

is this practically the same as a pink lady kenmore?

I would assume so

Well these are Lady Kenmore's from 1963. They are in turquoise instead of pink, but I'm sure you could have gotten them in pink when new.

When was the radio an option on Lady Kenmore dryers? :-)

(Actually, I'm a bit surprised that no one back in the day ever incorporated a radio into a washer or dryer -- they certainly tried everything else!)

Intresting idea for a radio

countryford's profile picture
fa_f3_20 you are right they did try everything else. They actually had a couple refrigerators with radios built into the door. I know Crosley made one and I beleive Philco even had a radio on one of their fridges. Wish i had one. I wouldn't know if I would have it in my radio room with all my tube radios, or in my appliance room with all my appliances. LOL
