... Has finally arrived!!! Due to the halting of production of these machines in October, I decided to post-pone getting an Alliance commercial OPL TL washer and get one of these instead! I have to say, I REALLY like the look of these modifed Neptune machines, next I need to get the matching Neptune TL and the matching dryer! I've only been able to do three loads in it so far, but here is the maiden load which also happens to be a Bobload!

The water came from the Neptune, we're having some plumbing issues, we seem to have them every year or so, last year a dead squirrel had plugged up the whole house, might be another squirrel down there, but we'll see... There is a floor drain under that black platform, it backs up whenever more than a gallon or two is dumped down the drain, showers and laundry have been prohibited for over a week now, so I shower at my dad's and I just have been saving my laundry! I couldn't stand to wait to use this beauty, so I did three loads anyway... :)

Neptunes (and their other-branded siblings) are super stylish and oh-so-easy to load. A friend's apt. building (in Minneapolis) has commercial Neptunes and I've used them numerous times. The only drawback is not being able to see the action. Congrats on another great new machine, Jamie. Your collection is expanding rapidly, man! |

Nice Washer, Pulsator! I really like my MAH4000 standard button/dial machine. Too bad that's going bye bye next month, replaced with Duet clones. |

The local White's Western Auto has a couple Amana pairs like that (don't recall if with or without the water heater) on close-out. With water heater, it's basically equivalent to the Neppy MAH6500, which RJ has bought and we will fetch from Lowe's probably on Saturday. :-) Notice Amana has the special feature of an "antimicrobial" treatment on the boot. Some Amana toploaders boast the same for the tub ring. |

Congratulations on the Amana! How quietly does it run as opposed to the Neptune? |

Correction then: White's Home & Auto Store. The sales invoice for the KA refrigerator I bought there in 1993 also has a line "DBA Western Auto Associate Store" but that's almost 14 years ago and I don't know if they still say that. I'll drive by tonight, note if there's a Western Auto sign on the building (could be!).

Could you post vids of the machine on Youtube? That would at least let us know what the machine sounds like. |
