Wow, it's in surprisingly good shape for its age! Did anyone happen to notice the "plastic" DW camouflaged by turquoise panels?

Yes, Austin, I did notice that. Eeesh...I'm glad he's trying to sell it, but it's heartbreaking to us mid-century enthusiasts that someone would remodel such a fabulous kitchen/house...I remember when we were looking at houses last year, how disappointed I would be when they didn't have their original kitchens!

Tragedy

It is tragic that this stuff will go to the crusher on Tuesday. Maybe someone will reach out and let these folks know what a rare find they have, and that it acutally makes their house more valuable.

Of course, their reality is that this is just 60 year old junk. New appliances and cabinetry are built so much better now. I am sure their new kitchen will look this good in 60 years, as the quality of materials today is so much better than in 1950. Of course, most of us know what their remodeled kitchen will look like in 10 years, and what the chances are that those new appliances they ordered from home depot will still be doing flawless daily duty in 2015.

Cory already has all that stuff. Remember! Oh yeah Veg wrote that! LOL!! I wouldn't mind getting the cabinets. Did it say it was going to the crusher? If so why would they start at 1000.00? What in the world does he think that stove is worth? That seems to be his focal point. Just bitchy today!

Hey! Maybe Cory wants more than one kitchen! Lessee... The regular one, one in the basement, one in the garage, one in the guest house...

Know any good electricians? ;)

Cool Kitchen!

That oven, cooktop and fridge are the same as the ones I snagged, though those glass spice racks would be nice : )

Anyone know if such a kitchen exists in sunny yellow? Seems like we've got the pink and turquoise covered.

Wow

That's my all time favorite appliance color. I wonder why he's so focused on the oven? It seems to me that the fridge would be much more valuable.
