This is a rare machine, especially in the Netherlands. I've never seen one before overhere. Very interesting, but since I have no room for it and I'm not really into English Electric I'm not going to get it. But I wanted to share it with y'all.

What year do you think this is from? Interesting design features, I like the slanted panel.

Greg,

I like the control panel too. I think this is a sixties machine, but I'm not sure. Perhaps one of the British members knows more about this machine.

If this was in the UK there would be a mad stampede for it!!

The machine would appear to be an English Electric Liberator Automatic model 4027, which was on sale in the UK in 1966.

The picture is from a 'Which' consumer mag.

As to its features and any memories of operation, I will have to hand over to others as never encontered this machine in the flesh and I was born in 1978.

Cheers for posting the advert Louis - made for a surprise this Sunday morning.

Paul

Hi Ralf, Thanks for posting this...if i had the means of getting this machine shipped to the UK i would. This model wasn't produced for that long and is rare, however i did notice they have changed the control knobs..they look like they have replaced the original ones with a couple of knobs off of a Mk2 Servis Supertwin..I guess the machine will just have to go to washer heaven !!
Cheers
Keith
