OK, I've done this before, but somehow it escapes me at this time!! I need to remove the lower access panel from my Kenmore Elite gas dryer. The machine is about 5 years old. I can't for the life of me remember how that panel comes off. I've been messing around with the spring loaded clips that I think hold it on, but I cannot get the panel to come off. I think I've already bent the top of the panel inward a little, so if anyone has any idea how the darned thing comes off, I would greatly appreciate it! I want to clean out any excess lint that has accumulated down there. Thanks!!

They can be tricky if not done just right. A flat putty knife inserted right at the bottom of the upper panel where the clip is located will usually release the clip then pull forward. You may have to struggle with it and bend the putty knife downward if it doesn't release, or if the clip is bent.
Let me know...hope this helps. Also make sure the putty knife is not inserted on top of the lower panel, but closer to the upper panel.
