And of course they look almost exactly like the side-box Whirlpools made in the USA during the mid-to-late 60's. They were--ARE-- great machines. Maybe a member has one of them and would post a pic. Rodrigo, could you translate the words "Brastemp" and "Plenomatica" ? Thanks ! What do you wash in those machines? |

Maybe you can document your work on the Plenomatica with some pictures? And maybe some more pictures of the Lourdes building? I think everyone would enjoy that. |

Thanks for the pictures! I think I'm a much bigger fan of Brastemp than I was ever of Whirlpool. I wish I had taken pictures of the machines in the rectory of my church school. Was thinking of you this week: I was in an international supermarket in Astoria, Queens where there was a whole section of Brazilian laundry products. I picked up some "OMO" detergent. Will scan the box soon. |

From the looks of the water valve it seems this washer only has one water temp. Is it all cold or all hot ? BTW very interesting pictures. Ed |

Which in a warm climate is probbly nearer to "warm" out of the tap. Is water stored in cisterns/tanks on the roof or in the attic/soffit? If so then the tap waer would REALLY be very warm......... In Arizona (near Mexico and VERY hot) I had to wash in the morning or late at night to get "cold" from the taps. |
