That's a electronic control module for dryers with same. What does "working dryer" mean? In my experienc someone will tell you it "works" because they plug it in and the motor runs. Seems like alot to pay for a used part unless one were desperate.

It looks like there is a big black capacitor on top of the control. It would be a good idea to change the cap before attempting to use this used part.

I agree,Fixerman.I would only buy that part if it were new,in a sealed box,and then if the seller guaranteed it.
You're right, the dryer probably ran,and heated, but did it shut off? That's why people replace those controls.....

New part

That's what I thought. We're talking about a part that was used for a long period of time in a LOT of dryers. I wouldn't think it would be NLA

When I was looking for a part for my 1966-67 DE 906 dryer a year ago, the control unit for my model with wire-banded baffles was NLA & out of stock but I was able to track one down in my travels. I believe they told me this 3-3049 part for bar-baffle sensor dryers was NLA from Maytag, but there were lots of them still around in parts dealer stock.

New part number is 33002561 supersedes old part 3-3049. Still available from Maytag at $49.99. Just purchased one last November. Only difference is the capacitor is smaller. Don't know if this would work on models manufactered before Nov. 1968. Erik
