virtually never pay in the long run. Maybe on a laptop computer, but that's about it. |

I'm not one to bother with extended warranties, but I did get one for my Frigidaire FL. I figure that between being in a small laundry room and having the dryer stacked on top, if something ever went wrong, it would take waaaaaaay too long for the tech to even get at it. And labor's more expensive than parts. veg the cheapskate |

If I were to buy an extended warranty, it would be for machines that use water in conjunction with moving mechanics---dishwashers and washers. They tend to break down more. Having said that, I've never purchased an extended warranty, mostly because I like to buy washers and dishwashers long before my current ones wear out. |

These are a complete waste of money. Why do you think Sears toments its employees to push these things. I've heard that extended warranties are like 90 percent profit for these guys |
