Tell me, are these both old style of plates in top rack and glassess in the bottom? Or both the "modern" version with the normal arrangement of plates in the bottom and glasses in the top. Both most likely offer Pots/Pans, Normal, and Light. Rinse & Hold is most likely set at the final rinse with heated ry off or there's a Rinse & Hold cycle between the end of the dry cycle and pots & pans cycle. Pots & Pans is a Wash, Rinse, Main Wash, and two rinses. Normal is Wash, Main Wash, and two rinses. Light/China is Main Wash and two rinses.

There's very little to study. It's all self-explanatory and yes, these are the old Jet-Clean models where you load the plates on the top rack and the glasses below. My only caution to you is to set the dial to the cycle you want before you close the latch to activate the machine. Turning the dial with the latch in the closed position is not so good for the motor and the solenoids. Also, I find that the detergent dispenser tends to clog a lot unless one uses liquid detergent. They're great machines! I use mine daily as a "chef's dishwasher" meaning I put everything into it. I even take out the top rack occasionally to wash big things like garbage cans and the bins from the fridge. A little noisy but cleans well and you got to love that porcelain interior. Very much like the old KitchenAids but not quite as elegant although holds a hell of a lot more. The machine to Phyllis' left is one like yours ( I don't recommend the soup unless you really know what you're doing): |

Power dry means the heating element is on in addition to the blower. When energy saver is selected only the blower is on during the dry. In either case you can feel the hot air being exhausted from the front of the machine. During the first few minutes of the dry cycle you can also see the steam spewing out the vents. Gary |
