I went earlier to see it, armed with all the good advice from those who replied to my earlier thread. The machine looked gently used/well cared for. But the very encouraging sign was when I drove up to the guy's house, there was a Miele van parked in front. Turned out that he is a Miele technician who just upgraded to the GIANT Miele's (said it took 4 guys to move them in). I may have paid too much($500)BUT...it was in such nice looking shape and he said he would deliver it to me as well. Thanks to all for sharing information on what to look out for. Guy |

CONGRADULATIONS!! MIELE W1918 IS A TRULY CLASSIC PIECE OF MACHINERY & TRULY EUROPEAN. WATER PLUS,GENTLE ACTION BUTTON,1600RPM SPIN SPEED,HYDROMATIC WASHING ACTION,&ADJUSTABLE OPTIONS YOU COULDENT ASK FOR MORE . This is one of my faverite washers and dream machines, i had a oppertunity to get a mint one from my miele rep at my job i work in applencses but left the job before i could get it, do to rascist& homophobic situations on the job site.To be honest it hurt me more not get the machine then leaveing the JOB! But anyway hope that you have a great time with it,Qwestion-- miele had two W 1918's first&secound generation models one was temprature wise,170 fht & 190 fht which one do you have?
