Do any of you recognize this Halo of Heat style filter? I bought it on ebay and when it arrived, I found out that it didn't fit my HOH dryer. The outer circumference is the right size, but the hole in the middle is too small to fit over the axle. Is this a filter for a Maytag portable HOH dryer?? I want to repost it on ebay and resell it, but I want to know what it is first.

There were differences between the early HOH dryers (641,700,750 etc.) and the later HOH dryers ('06 models) for filter parts. The earlier models had a smaller post so that's probably what you have there. I'm not sure about the Porta-Dryer parts, I think if you list it as Halo-Of-Heat dryers - pre 1966, you should be fine on ebay.

I have an original metal mesh filter on a DG700, and it doesn't look like that. And the newer ones are interchangeable. What could it be???? Bobby in Boston |
