You might be surprised!

That Maytag just might work! I can't tell you how many I've found that were either in perfect working order or just needed minor repairs like belts, water solenoids, or pumps! Hook them up and let us know!!! Mark

I'd guess the Whirlpool to be 1967. The Maytag even older.

In case the Maytag is parted out...

Hey Harvestgold--

it looks to me like the center timer knob cap and dial trim ring is copperish colored...

In case the ol' Tag gets parted out, would you be willing to sell these? I have a A142S that needs one, and painting a chrome one is not likely to turn out right.

Email me and let me know, not a big deal one way or the other.

Thanks!

-MH

I have a '65 RCA Whirlpool washer that is very similar to the one pictured.

The tag is probably a 1960 model. The Whirlpool is probably a 1968 model. There is no RCA label on it, and the last model year where RCA appeared was 1967. This washer is anywhere between 1968, and 1970. I can tell fromt the interior pic that it has the mercury switch, as there is none visible. Given that the model number starts with LRA, I am guessing 1968. The second letter determines the year. Check out Thread #11396. Although there is no LRA mentioned, I am guessing from the table posted in Post 204546 the year it could be. Also the washer in that thread was a 1966 model, and the number on began with LPA.

Have a good one,
James

RCA Whirlpool Classic Audio?

In reference to the archived discussion, I am interested in collecting at least a good audio shot of that classic RCA Whirlpool machine.--Laundry Shark
