This year instead of bringing home another vacuum cleaner from the convention last month I was lucky enough to have been able to bring this home......a Maytag A702. Thanks Greg N.

The original base on the machine had a lot of rust on it so I replaced it with another in better shape. Also the damper and tub support arms. Not a bad interior for a 42 year old machine.

The original washbasket was badly stained from iron....also the procelain was a little rough so I replaced it with a better tub.

The Maytag rerinsing a load of sheets from the Blackstone 350.....just checking how effective the Blackstone overflow rinse with the high velocity spray is. The water is pretty clear......hmmmmm.

Hi Roger, purfect restoration there, looks like new, I love that machine, so quiet in operation, and such a simple design, that was the machine Ben & myself where demoing at the convention...along with the Hoover twinny, Norge, Speed Queens & Calypso etc...

Really grand to catch up and spend time with you this time, a whole weekend of Fun, Fun, Fun

Enjoy the renovations, Mike

Beautiful machine!!! I've been looking for one of these to complement my dryer. Nice work bringing it backs to its gorgeous self.

Reminds Me of a Childhood Memory

Based on your detailed description of the A702, it reminded me of a similar washer owned by a neighborhood farm family I knew from our childhood days growing up in Southeast South Dakota and Northwest Iowa. For at least twelve or more years, that classic Maytag washer did its routine farm clothes chores.--Laundry Shark
