Hi all--

After 30+ years of waiting and dreaming, i finally somehow found and brought home a 70's 1-18 that i remembered seeing last around age 4 or 5. I haven't brought in for pictures yet, but i inspected it some and found the Pulsator cracked in several places and missing pieces.

Of anywhere in the world, somebody on this site has to have a clue where to look for a "new" one, or is this typical for these boys' design and age?

Either way, if anybody has ideas on where to look for a replacement or has a spare for sale, i'm extremely interested.
Part of my search will be on Ebay, but beyond that?

Will post picts ASAP, can't wait to see it go... Its been a very, very long wait to be reunited with an old Dream!

Chris, congratulations. That's one of the things we're about here. Dreams being realized.

Thanks!

Man, i never dared dream i would ever SEE one of these again much less actually FIND one!

I still can't believe it... Kinda like i just one the lottery, except that its a lottery only people like us really would call it that, know what i mean? And of course, everyone's dream is different... Somedays, the waiting pays off i guess. Tonight i sleep with a big grin on my face, damaged Pulsator or no!

Congrats on the wonderfind. What color is it? Will like to see your pics of the machine.

I have a jetcone, but it has some chewing on it as well due to the lint filter not being in place correctly. I would be willing to part with it, but you will have to email me in private if you are interested, and, I can send you some pics of it.

Steve

1-18

Congratulations on your 1-18. Pretty soon the members will have all of the 1-18's in existence, not to mention the other vintage washers. Of course this is all to the good.

I love just watching mine. I am considering using much less detergent or perhaps HE because of the sudsing produced by the pulsation. This last Saturday, I actually had a suds lock, even after the spray rinse.

I know you will get a Jetcone!!

Martin
