Interesting door configuration on that washer; I was all set to place an order for the Amana front-loader that was supposed to be released back in '96 or so. Unfortunately, I received a letter from Amana stating they had pulled the machine and it wouldn't be available. I went with the Frigidaire. Let us know what you think of your new set! It's nice to see the Speed Queen name back in the residential market. |

Raytheon sold Speed Queen seperately to Alliance Laundry Systems before Maytag came into the picture. They're still built in their traditional plant in Ripon WI. |
