Well here's me again with tons of washing to do (getting ready for the holiday), and pressed for time. I mean what'll I do? Why pull out the Hoover twinne of course. Large bed sheets are too much palaver for twin tub washing, well at least for moi, so sorted out pillow slips and other smalls from the sheets (they will go in the Miele), and went to work. One really likes all sorts of top loading washing machines, including twin tubs and wringers because they do a much better job, IMHO of dealing with lint and pet hair. Stuff floats up and away, ready to be flushed down the drain. Twin tubs and wringers have an advantage in that one lifts laundry out of the wash water, leaving much and such behind. Anywho each load in the Hoover got a quick pre-wash in warm water, spun out, then a hot wash for max time, allowed to soak for 10 minutes or so, series of spin rinses then on the lines. More work than bunging the lot into the Miele, but can whiz through several loads in the hour or so it takes to do one in the Miele. L. | ||

I hear ya, Sister! In just the amount of time it takes for my HE3t to decide whether or not it wants to go through the spin cycle, I could have probably two loads of wash out of any capable twin tub. I really would like to see machines of this nature made again. I dream of an Easy, but with a high speed type spinner... | ||

Hi Laundress, Yes! I could not agree with you more,I have had my Haier twinnie for just on 2 years now and have never had any problems with it, in fact I love it more each time I use it. It would be nice to see the Hoovermatic come back again, but alas, I fear it is only a dream, did you know that more than 1 million of them were sold in Australia alone and goodness knows how many in U.K. and elsewhere. | ||

Hello fellow Twintubbies
I've always wanted to ask: when does the heating occur in the European Hoovers and do they also wash for a maximum of 4 minutes. And now, twinnie, I'm dying to know what the Haier Twinnie is like--good pump, length of wash, faucet for spin rinsing, etc, if you have the time to tell. Thanks. Twinnies Rule | ||
