Hi everyone, This is my first post.

Can I get some help trouble shooting. I took the front panel apart and did not see anything unusual on the circuit board. There is power getting to the board but nothing lights up or beeps when I hit start. Is there anything else I can do myself to isolate the problem with hopes of replacing what is broken and not the whole dryer.

I have already replaced the cicuit board once (got the wires crossed at the wall plug) last April or so.

Please help.

-Stefan

If I were guessing...

I would guess that it is the thermal fuse, which would fail in the case of a blockage in the vent duct. The thing is that I don't guess...I follow the path of power with my volt/ohm meter and find where the break in the circuitry is. I used to love selling parts to fellows that try to guess ($$$)

If it is the thermal fuse, the dryer should still run, but without heat. At least that is what mine did when I had to replace it.

From Electrolux site. "Parts manual" has circuit diagram as well as parts drawings. The one called "wiring diagram" has some scheme to invoke the built-in computer diagnostic.

If that's a Frigidaire built dryer, the thermal fuse going out will cause everything to go dead.
