This washer is in beautiful RESTORED condition. I'm currently taking offers. It's really a beautiful machine but I don't need 3! Mark |

Roanoke Robert (Lady Kenmore) won't let me part with the 56, even though I'm a Roller-matic kind of guy. If he ever decides that I can part with it, I'll let you know! The 56 really is sweet! Mark |

Damn, I wish I could figure a way to get it here. Identical to the one my aunt had when I was a young 'un. |

Is that the 800 to the left of the Frigi? I see a detergent dispenser. |

After a nice long wash, it virtually rips thru its moves, the rinses and spins very fast and brief. It is THE machine for energetic speed freak types. Even tough it won't overflow--unless you want to play and do it manually-- it's great for suds-saving because the wash water is not diluted as in all later Frigidaires, minus the 1-18's Geraldine says I'd say "Up Up Up" and she'd hold me up to watch. No matter how long she held me, it was never enough. In time, I could see in without her, transfixed all day, until I was big enough run the loads myself. Brand new, it was $350, a small fortune back in 1951. No lid switch @1180 rpms. DOUBLE YAY. It looks brand new. What a treasure. So tempting, but I so worship the 62 Multi, that I would love to see someone else, who's dying for a Frigidiare like I was for so many years, get it. The joy for that person would be overflowing. |
