Since they are already manufacturing a top loading tumbler dryer, why doesn't F & P make a top loading tumbler washer to match ????????????????????????? Wouldn't that be a thrill!

F&P TL washer

I am not sure there woulde be a market for a TL drum washer. Most TL drum washers are narrow allowing them to fit in to smaller spaces. An F&P TL drum washer would be the same size as a TL washer. The new F&P Aquasmart is said to be nearly as economical as a FL washer. I havent heard any reports of theis washer yet. It has the low profile agitator. My experiance of these low profile agitators or pulsators in the base of the wash tub is not good, poor laundry turnover. Does anyone else have an opinion on this type of agitator?

Well, yeah. Let's have a closer look at the drum size by taking a look at Staber, a brand specializing in Top-Load Horizontal-Axis washers. The drum of the Staber washer is 2.0 cubic feet. It can hold and wash 16 full-size bath towels and a plush king-size comforter. The fisher & Paykel washer is bigger than a normal washer due to the larger drum size. So are the major-appliance-brand siblings like the Kenmore Oasis. We have the Kenmore Oasis agitator version and it is bigger the our previous two washers were. Our prevoius two washers were just Kenmore-branded Whirlpool Direct-Drive washers and thier size and cabinet design matched the contour of our Kitchen Aid dryer. The Oasis is bigger and has more curves and designs on its cabinet and does not match the dryer. That is why when our dryer takes a dump I will despretely pursuade my family to buy the macthing dryer for our washer. I did originally figure we should get the matching washer for the dryer when direct-drive Kenmore #2 died but that washer/dryer set were long discontinued. Now anyway. The Staber washer is the same size as a normal Top-Loader and it is mistoken for one if looked at from just the outside. It must be opened to see what is unique about it. But thw washer is Curved on the front and has the plastic top. it is a totally different contour than just a regular Top-Loader. So, you see, if Fisher & Paykel did come out with an H-Axis Top-Loader, it would be smaller in size overall. But they might do it one day.
