One of the best things of my life truly has been finding Automaticwasher.org. Everyone has been so nice and kind here it is one of the highpoints on my day to look at the Pic. of the Day and Disscusomat.
Here is the Mobile Maid that jmm63 gave to me after I was on the site not more than 2 weeks. Ironically enough the day I went down to NJ to pick this baby up, he was putting his beautiful dog to sleep. I had no idea of course. Once again, Thank-you so much Jim. The KD2(I call her Kaydee) looks great along side of the Maid( I call Made-ee).The model No. is SM280E1. Can any one tell me what year she is ? Runs like a charm and will scrub the rust off a trailer hitch.
Here are some pics of the "other" girl.

What a fun kitchen! If you put some shelves up on the walls, you'll have lots of room for many more vintage dishwashers!

Those popovers look heavenly! My sister tried and tried to make them once when they were here for some holiday or other, but they never worked quite right.

Love the Birthday 1886. Popovers are tricky. Depends on the size of the eggs, the density of the flour, and the amount of milk in them The batter should (Icall it) "wiggle. It's for the most part a loose batter. And the amount of whole butter you put in the pan makes the difference.

Hi Eddie. When I was growing up, I knew how to make popovers and my brother and I made them on Saturday mornings with lots of butter.

Vintage Kitchenaid coffee grinders are the best.

Love your kitchens. Very inviting!
You have 2+ vintage coffee grinders. My old Kitchenaid grinder still works perfectly. The reproduction grinder I also have ejects grounds at 90MPH at me at will. At least the jars interchange. And the PYREX perk! I want coffee at your place!
Last but not least - I agree - the people on this site are the best.

Hey Eddie..... she looks so cute in your kitchen.. I'm so glad she went to a good home. I wish I could have used her here, but I couldn't. Glad you posted some pics, enjoy her as much as I did. Jim

Kitchen Aid Coffee Grinders.

Hey Paulg.
I also have one from the early 60's. That's my everyday grinder. I truly believe they grind coffee the best.
Here's the Coffee Crew.

Beautiful Popovers!

I think your machine is from 1969. I remember the blue vinyl racks in the blue vinyl tub that changed to "celery" and "avocado" in 1970. Here's a brochure from 1965 that shows models like yours:

WOW! Love the '65 Mobile-Maid literature! Thanks for sharing that.
I am currently using what I believe to be a 1958 Mobile-Maid in my kitchen in the country. Will post a photo next week and hopefully someone will be able to tell me for sure.
