Here are two vintage pieces for FREE that need to picked up before they head off to become a new car. The 1st item is this WP dryer that just came in from the original owner. She didn't say what was wrong with it. She said she had it about 38-39 years. I did not plug it in. It may need something. The cabinet is in nice shape for the age. They also had the matching washer, but they are going to continue using that for now.

I know this belongs in the super, but since this thread is going on now.....Here is a pink Dixie range. Again, I do not know what may be wrong with this. It came in a little while ago. It is now on death row. My warehouse is FFFUUUUULLLLLLL & I need to start getting rid of things that do not benefit the business or my core collection. The sides of this range have some nice food leavin's if you need extra nourishment.

Rgarding the Whirly dryer: What is the Light/Med/Heavy cycle? Is it automatic, or timed? Looks automatic. If it is indeed automatic, is it thermostatic or electronic? My aunt had a windowed version of that machine with infinite heat thermostat and a UV lamp. The dial was smaller and the makins printed on the backsplacs ratehr than haveing them on a movable timer-dial. It was eerily FABULOUS especially with a "chatter-box" electronic ignition. The sound of that thing throwing a spark and igniting was amazing! What brand is the stove? GE / Hotpoint? |
