Had to have LG come out and see about one of the washers. I called last week and after being told that it would be at least 20 days before a service tec could be here I finally got thru to the service mgr. and got service in 4 days.. When they arrived I was informed there was a 100.00 service call fee due now. They would not even start working on the washer until that was paid.. Then after he found the problem a drain pump.. 10 days before it will be in and he can come back.. another 100.00 and 100.00 for the drain pump.. They refused to send it to me so that I could put it on.. So 300.00 to replace a drain pump.. Wow what service ! and on top of all that was just snotty about the whole thing. Life may be good for them but they make sure it is not for anyone that needs their service.

Sorry to hear this.

LG

I am not sorry I got rid of my combo. With that type of service it's better to have nothing. I had sent consumer reports a lot of information about my problems with the service. They totatly ignorged me. Also they have no number to call. Also they rated LG very well. Something very wrong. Clearly a fixed situation. I can't believe with all the service issues they have no one will go after them. I just encourage everyone not to buy LG.

Oke! Help that's to much... Local repair men? Or so. I've repaired my washer twice. And even a service call for the dryer last year costed 25 euros (dunno how much), and within 2 days my dryer was up and running again. Here we haven local dealers who repair all machines! I would never buy a washer or dryer in a big store because they have at least here in Belgium very bad reputations for service!

Actually, they did not complete the repair on the first call so they should not charge for the return call. They are a rip off service outfit. I would write a letter to LG and put at the bottom of it that copies are going to Consumer Reports, the consumer reporter at your local TV stations, your Better Business Bureau, the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers AND let LG know that it will also be posted on any and every Internet site that deals in ANY way with apppliances.

LG Service

Hi Tom,
I did send a regristered letter to the president of LG and did send all documentation to consumer affairs and even consumer reports. All ignored. The consumer protection did look into it, but told me my problem is with the warrenty company. I had a BS 5 year contract with GE services. Problem was no one knowledgeable to fix the problem. It amazes me how many LG products are being sold even with all the complaints. And consumer reports is rating them very well. It all has to be fixed. I am sure I am not the only one that was ignored by them.

Tom

I have done that very thing also. and was told "We could care less about you and your piss ass problems" in his exact words. This was the VP of Dist. operations in Dallas.. And he is so right they could care less about anything but selling to began with.
