These shots are from 10' away. We couldn't get any closer. Besides, it was too darn cold to stay out any longer. Hope you enjoy all the pics.

Where do you guys...

Look for this stuff ? Antique Stores ? Here on the Cape every thing is so quietly whisked away. Although I did find the KD2 on Craig's list. I think that was a one shot wonder. I have to get off Cape more often.

Thanks for sharing.

Where to you find this stuff. It's like a gold mine. All the good stuff is always so far away.

These pictures were wonderful. And I know someone that has the matching washer to that Frigidaire dryer.

I loved the pictures.

Are you interested in selling any of these beauties? I believe that white Frigidaire dryer is a PERFECT match to my white 1963 WCI-63 washer.

Mmmm. Dryer Kharma. Robert's washer can't be too far behind now. Interesting--a ho tumble feature on that dryer. Quite Deluxe. That Westy dryr is the exact match that was paired with my mom's friend who had the WI55 Unimatic washer. Exact match, all the way down to the push-start auto dry feature. I've only seen one other of that dryer in all the years we've been at this.

No washers this time? Aww poo! But all those dryers need a good clean-up and restoration.

Your Kenmore dryer is the one we had untill 1963 when we bought a new gas version of the Lady Kenmore combo.

WOW! What a magnificent assortment, almost like an aging harem. Thanks for braving the cold to bring us the pictures.

Right behind the turquoise Kenmore in the last picture is one of the first Norge slanted control panel dryers to match the redesigned washer with the perforated tub. The model shown was sold by the gas company in Atlanta, and maybe others; the gas companies loved dryers with standing pilots.

That Hamilton 800 is like my electric model. Can't miss the lint screen mounted in the center of the control panel in the APEX.

On that unusual SQ dryer, does anyone know if that is an exhaust vent on top of the control panel like in some of their oldest dryers?

Could that Westinghouse dryer have a Push-To-Start button? If not what is the little square gray button beside the dial on the left?

And....THE GAS DRYERS ARE GOOD! ENJOY GAS!
I think they all should be saved! I am sure that you have enough room at your Inn.

Aging harem is right, those are wonderful sights. That Apex is just like a Montgomery Wards we saw on the Sacred Appliance Burial Ground - I love the center lint filter.

Personally, I don't enjoy gas, anyone's anywhere. And standing pilot lights ruined the insulation on the wiring, turning it to goo. They also caused bad rusting, far worse when the pilot was at the bottom of the dryer than at the top because the path of the combustion by-products was easily traced by the rust in the cabinet.
