I had some extra time to kill this afternoon before heading off to work, so I decided to stop at a local thrift store. While I was there I found a Lady Kenmore Dryer. I'm not sure of the exact year, but its from the 60's. It has the controls hidden by a panel. As soon as I get it unloaded out of my vehicle I'll take pics of it and post it on here. Oh it also has the original scent bottle in the lint filter. Its gas, and in nice shape. $40 later and it was mine.

"countryford":

Your Lady Kenmore Dryer was manufactured between the Fall of 1969 and 1971.

Enjoy!!!!

Have you noticed?

How when you go to a laundrymat, you have to put money into the machines? Well this one doesn't quite comprehend the concept. Its been spitting out money every now and then. So far I've got a little of $3.00 in change. I wonder how much more I'll find when I start cleaning it up. Justin

Very cool! I hadn't realized this model had the air freshener feature.

This is the one that's considered a "match all" dryer, is that correct? There is no washer that looks exactly like this? I know there was a matching pair with covered controls and alphabet controls, but they're a bit different.

A neighbor of ours got this to go with her 1960 alphabet Kenmore years later when she decided to add a dryer.

Cool!

Love that style of Control Panel so "Futureristic" For the Time.. I love what "SEARS" did back in the day. The Kenmores were so much nicer to look at.Esp..the LADY Kenmore!

OH...... My Bad.....

Then, that's not a Lady Kenmore..... What that is IS an "All American" Dryer from the late 1960's.

Not a Lady Kenmore, but still, a VERY nice dryer no less.

Scott55045.....

And you would be correct.

This is a "match all" dryer from the mid/late 1960's. I think that's one of nicer ones Whirlpool has ever made for Sears.

Unlike our 1975 "All-American" Dryer, I think this one even has a drum light, if I am not mistaking. I know the "Silhoulette" one they produced in 1969 has a drum light, but not the concealed control panel like this one does. So I am thinking this one has a drum light too, being that this is an earlier model.

I hope someone saves this dryer. I think this one's worth saving.
