Oh MY GOD!!!!!

I just hit pay dirt TWO days in a row......

First, I saw a 24" Kenmore that was strikingly similiar to the one I had grew up with yesterday (only mines was a lower level model than the one that was pictured out there in Seattle).

And now, I see this Philco (and in MARYLAND no less). That was my late great-grandmother's washer. I kid you not, she had THAT EXACT MODEL(!!!!).....

Now, the question I want to ask you die hard Philco fans, was that were the lids on these machines ever reversable???? I see that the lid on the one that's pictured here opens toward the left. If I could recall correctly, the lid on my late great-grandmother's machine opened to the right.

And what are the common problems Philcos usually have when they break down????

I ask this because I haven't seen this washer since 1976, and one day that year, when my parents went up to Spartanburg, SC to visit my great-grandparents, I did see the washer sitting in the yard all rapped up for the city people to take it to the dump. That was when I saw a shinny new Speed Queen sitting in the kitchen.

Got a response...

jons1077's profile picture
He said he got an overwhelming number or emails about the washer. He has someone that is supposed to pick the Philco up today but he'd get back to me if it falls through. Like I should be so lucky... He asked if I was interested in the dishwasher even if the washer is taken. Told him I'd take BOTH off his hands but without the washer, probably not interested in the dishwasher. We'll see what happens.

Of course you could have told them WHO got 'em, but then that'd take all of your passive aggressive hatefulness out of the post, then, wouldn't it.

You're an ASS dude. I'll just tell you straight up.
You're an ass.

Hey - I have the machine running in my basement at the moment too, dude. Boo Fuckin' HOo.

What's up with this bob wirth? I think this is a great club with friendly people who go out of their way to help other members. To send this type of email to a fellow member is way out of line. Sorry I guess I just don't understand.

It is obvious a person like that has serious issues. Perhaps he is off his daily dose of lithium. In any event, pity him as he must be pretty miserable.

Sorry that happened to you Jon.

What I dont get is why the nasty emails he sends out...I just got one and I expected it...didnt disappoint thats for sure. It gets old after awhile and when I see his name in my junk mail I think to myself...why should I even bother to open the email since its normally laden with something thats usually mindless dribble. I know I will get an email for this from this yutz.
The thing is there are alot of people here that has had to read something from this miserable snot in an email. Yet nothing is done to prevent him from coming into the club.

I don't understand this guy, either. What a creep! Sure takes the fun out of all this. I'm sorry you had to receive such an ugly email Jon, and am sorry you didn't get those great machines! All the best, Todd.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever come across a more baselessly evil and negative person than HRH-of-Hollywood. Is there any way to keep this toad from collecting member email addresses to do in private what he gleefully took great joy in doing publicly here on AW? I mean, I thought this guy was banned, as he should have been years ago. ROBERT????

This guy was banded back around Christmas time. But being banned from posting in AW doesn't mean I can ban him from sending emails to people or even from viewing the site. All that means is he cannot post, but he can still read.

You know this way tooooooo much drama for all this. I get notes like this all the time and usually I just roll my eyes delete them. By going on an on about this nonsense you are giving him exactly the attention he wants. So my advice to everyone one is cut it out right now.

OK everybody, Sister Mary Elizabeth Robert has told us to cut it out. As a former victim of HRH's hateful attacks I have put in well more than my $.02 now and I'm done with this anyway, and would suggest that we all follow our fearless leader's words of wisdom before she starts waving the ruler around! HRH's unwarranted flame bombs are not worth so much as a single additional keystroke from anybody here or the bandwidth that any responses would take up on this great web site.

Thanks Robert for explaining the situation re: how HRH has been appropriately muzzled here but can still read the posts and possibly still send a direct email. Block him if you can, everyone.
