Hi!
When we moved into this house, 9 years ago, this diswasher was already there. Ever since it has been working fine but a week ago the drain has stopped and water accumulates on the bottom. We tried to clean it out, even used Liquid Plummer and rinse afterwards, to no avail. What could be the cause? Is it worth calling a technician or buying a new machine (they are so expensive, now...) Thanks for your advice.

Does it sound like the pump is running when it is supposed to be draining? You might check where the drain hose connects to the garbage disposal and make sure that connection isn't clogged. Sometimes food waste will plug the opening. Loosen the clamp where the hose connects and check for blockage. The liquid plumber would not get up to that point to do any good and I also think that might be a bit strong to use in a dishwasher. Good Luck.

Does this model have the filter screen on the back wall at the bottom? If so, remove it with 4 screws, I think, and unscrew the piston & nut assembly. The rubber stopper wears away and lets water recirculate back into the bottom of the tub. Hope this helps!

We checked the connection to the garbage disposal, as you suggested, and it was not clogged. It looks like the problem is with the pump, that does not seem to be running. I think we will call the repair man. But thank you very much for your interest.

This model has the filter screen on the bottom. We removed the 2 screws from it but did not see any rubber stopper. Besides, the pump does not seem to be running, wich may be the problem. Thank you for your suggestion.
