This is my first time ever trying to send a link--(I know, I know. . .)

But I found this unique website on Consumer Reports. I know the dishwashers aren't vintage, but I find the video educational.

Now. . .I want a new job. I'd have a blast there!

Link Take Two

How do y'all get those blue colored links that take you right to a particular website?

Sorry.

CU's dishwasher testing

But over the decades, they never tested loads with 3 qt. or larger mixing bowls or pans of various shapes in the lower rack. In machines without a wash arm under the upper rack (and in some that have one) it would have made a BIG difference in the ratings and, it seems to me, reflect a more realistic loading situation. And because of their types of test loads, machines that had wash arms under the upper rack never received positive comments about loading flexibility, more usable capacity and more uniform cleaning. It almost feeds the conspiracy theories that there were certain manufacturers or interests that they did not want to offend or force into improving their machines' design and performance. You just don't have that many dishes without preparation utensils unless you are only painting the food on the dishes. They are almost as stupid as the government bureaucrats who test dishwashers for energy efficiency by running loads of CLEAN dishes through the "NORMAL" cycle.
