On Ebay is a 1970's Whirlpool with black agitator and blue control panel.

Beautiful!

They refer to it as "little". a 24inch width model perhaps?

Looks like brand new.

So familiar, yet so unique!

Don't think I had ever seen a lid with a right-hand hinge before!

I have that same machine

Mine has the later style Lid and a white agitator.

All of the Whirlpools in AU were all 24" 62cm wide machines, we never got the big cabinet ones.

The lids on these machines are reversable and this model has no lid switch. Lid switches and spin brakes didnt become mandatory until 1974 over here, thus one of the reasons why the Fluid drives carried on for so long and then just dissappeared.

These were still 5.5kg machines which was about the norm at that stage. The only machine that really had a large capacity at that time was the Hoover.
