Hi everybody,

For our Italian friends, and all those interested, you can see on my website four videos of the CANDY S51 (1974):
-- The first: closure of the drum, introduction of detergents based on the selected program, starting;
-- The second: rotation of the drum during washing;
-- The last two: spin (lid opened and closed): 500 rpm.

Nice videos.

Is there a brake applied after spinning? It seems that the drum stops almost instantly.

I was wondering the same thing, it sounds indeed like there is a break that stops the drum at the end. Great videos, thanks for sharing!

brake

Hello,

yes, you're right, there is an automatic brake after spining.
Note that when the spin is beginning, the pump is off during few seconds...

I think it's a spinning between a wash and a rinse or 2 rinses, you hear the motor going straight into tumble mode. Sometimes mine does that too... Don't know how it comes but it has something to do with the timercontrolled tumbling.

tumble mode

It's the spin after the first rinse.
In the video "lid closed"", it's the start: the pump is on only after five seconds.
In the vidéo "lide opened", it's the end: after the spin the second rinse is beginning.

Great machine!

Hi guys! In this period I've got so few time to dedicate here...shame on me!!!

Anyway few words spent on faboulous Bert work and good order kept items!!

This was the same machine there was over there where I came to pick up my Ignis... the one I kept was of the mother of the madame but she and her husbund had got stored in the basement this 70s Candy too!!

They pried me too to take it either awat but... I was to happy for the Superautomatica and ready to start one restoring that I didn't feel to take the advantage of picking two machines..... and then who will have had the time, the money, the passione to do two consecutive restorings!??!!?

The machine wouls have came not-working so nothing to pay...

Was I stupid? Yes I know :-((((((((

Bye
Diomede

user's book

Hi Diomède,

thanks for your message.
Try to save the machine you saw, it's really a fantastic item. I love its look and the wash is very good.
Would you have the user's book of this machine?
I'm interested in it if you can mail by my site, even if it's in Italian or English.
See you
Bert

Had a look at some of the other vids you have. That Flandria twinnie has a really good wash action. When you loaded the spin dryer and turned it on, I heard a thousand Health and Safety busy bodies turn in their graves!!
