The "traditional" style Surgilator was never used on direct-drives.

alas

I think that a surgilator with a fast stroke agitation would be quite a site!

I have a 5 plus 10 Surgilator in my Whirlpool washer...5 flex vanes in the bottom and 5 curved and 5 straight vanes in the filter barrel. They didnt use the solid 3 vane agitator like they had in the belt drive models. I dont think that the transmissions could handle it on the direct drive models. Besides the agitator shaft is kinda short.
