Here is a host of service manuals and parts lists for Australian washing machines from the late sixties to the seventies. They may be of interest to our Aussie members or anyone on this site. CLICK HERE TO GO TO arrrooohhh's LINK on eBay |

These are very interesting, I wondered if the Hooover manuals (top loading) are at all similar to the Hoover/Blackstone machines made here in the early 70's. I also thought the Email/Westinghouse machines were cool too - when did that major design change happen for them? One book appears to be a 70's Westinghouse and another was completely different. |

The earlier Westinghouse is the US design, manufactured in Aus. The later ones are smaller Japanese machines rebadged as Westinghouse. (Probably Hitachi or Sanyo manufacture) Chris. |

Hi Chris, What are the time frames for the original series? Did the 900 series finish up about 88 or 89? Or was it earlier? Also, was the 600 the last series with recirulation? These hoovers had the filter at the back of top of the washbowl? If that makes any sense? |
