I think it was either 1992,1993 or 1994.There was about an 18 month period where the stackable units were scarce.The new WCI/Electrolux front loading washer factory in Agusta,GA.opened in 1995 and has been mass producing their front loading washers as well as the Wascomat comercial washers ever since.In 1976,while staying on a dairy farm in Mansfield,Ohio,I had the pleasure of going to a true Laundromat coin laundry located directly in front of the Westinghouse Appliance factory.They had all the different models there from the round body blue ones,the Ald wash,Ald spin,Ald dry,Ald Soak and Laundromat drycleaning machine.The factory was closed that day(it was a sunday)but it was big and showed its age.It truly looked as thow it had seen better days.The Laundromat was fun thow.A girl who went with me to do laundry waited untill I dozed off while the clothes were drying and tied my shoe laces together in knots!!I went to get up and Later that day as we returned to the farm,we were asked to help in the cows and as we were among them,I went to show her how to milk them manualy and got her right in between the eyes with a big squirt!It got all over her!We laughed so hard,we cied I haven't seen or heard from her since.He name was Norma Jean.She lived in St Paul,Minn.
