Hi guys

I have a friend here in Brazil with some trouble with his Affinity washer.
It just canīt spin small loads.
It takes hours and hours trying to balance the load and finally the cycle finishes with chothes soaking wet.

I also have the same model, but it spins normally even with only one wool sweater inside (unbalance). the only difference when itīs unbalanced is the low max speed (only 500 rpm)

Worst case scenario.... in his city thereīs only one Electrolux authorized service and their service sucks. The "technician" (sic) said itīs normal and front loaders do not spin very well (poor dumb boy).
So maybe he'll have to deal with this trouble by himself.

How we can help him? Iīm used to build washers, but his case seems to be one of those terrible cases which everything seems to be perfect, but for a reason thereīs something very wrong hidden on it.

Other in the group probably know better than I do about these, but isn't there a balance switch behind the drum casing that can be moved or bent backwards to alleviate the off balance issue? I thought I remembered someone here mentioning this previously?

Is it sitting level and stable? If the machine has a lot of "play" in it where it is sitting it will have a hard time with small loads. It needs to be anchored in position, If the machine lurches from side to side trying to spin it will throw the off balance switches a lot easier.
