Yes, it's TRUE, the CHAIRMAN has LOTS of kids! This is an 8.8lb capacity machine great for apts. Full automatic, but manual water temp selection. Video coming later.

Thomas, I'm gonna put together a quick video. It washes real well-although I don't know about jeans-never used it for big bulky stuff. Socks, underwear, shirts, sheets, towels, shorts all come out great. It only has an 8.8 lb washing capacity, but I suppose 2 pairs of jeans would fit OK.

OK, so here's a new video of another one of my children-BABY HAIER. I ran the machine on the "QUICK" (10 MIN) CYCLE, but didn't put quite enough water in-but I DID solve the blurred picture problem I had with the GENESIS. Maybe next week I'll redo the CHAIRMAN w/o all the tiling and blurring. I'm getting better at all this hi-tech stuff. I'm OLD!

Ma I like there new type washers. I got one of the older types and one thing I will say I miss in the new one is the end of wash buzzer. The old one played jingle bells over and over and over. Darn why did they change that.

Is the new ones still Stainless Steel Tub's? One big thing they did is move the filter up the older type was half way down. I had two get missed up. And we know parts for there stuff are hard to find.

One last thing are there wheels built on? The old ones you had to buy a cart thing. Never could find that anyplace for seal.

I still have in storage for back up. But I used it a lot when it was my man washer. never had any thingthing went wrong with it at all.

But avoid there dishwasher if they are still the same. I had one couch on fire. It was there portable type the fire was under it were you can not get to. Pushed that thing out the door and got the hose after it.

Troy, all the Haier machines I own except for one have buzzers at the end of the cycle. If you like the musical signal, the AVANTI W797 and W798 (built by Haier) play "YANKEE DOODLE" when the machine finishes. Some of my Haiers have cheap stainless steel tubs, and some have plastic tubs. The GENESIS has a good quality steel tub. As far as wheels--yes, I guess you could say the portable Haiers have them, for what they're worth. They only move in a North/South direction (no swivel) and are useless on carpet. I move them around easily with cheap $5.00/set furniture SLIDERS (those plastic plates that go one under each "wheel"). As far as the overall quality of the Haier machines-I've never had one fail me yet, and I've had some of these machines about 4 years now. They don't get daily workouts, but they've been put to the test on occasion. I think they need the GOODHOUSEKEEPING seal on them!

Great video, what an adorable washing machine. If only they would sell them on this side of the big pond!

By Googling on Haier I found this interesting machine. A rebadged Maytag Neptune toploader!

Thanks for the info. I use to just pick it up and move it to the sink. But never thought about sliders. I use mine for small things now. Still works like the day I bought it.

One thing they have out now I have been thinking about buying. There new portable wall mount cloth's dryer. If it is built like there washers it should last.

Also the washer filter when I got the replacement was only about $2.00 with shipping.

The dishwasher they were super nice about it told me to cut the cord remove the label and they sent me a check for $200.00. So was only out about $50.00. Bought a danby portable dishwasher and it is super nice over there old one. More room inside.

I think Haier makes the best portable washers for the best price out there. Heck only thing to make them better would be color cases. I would kill for a blue one.

Louis, I knew HAIER built the ill-fated Maytag Neptune TL. Although pretty, it wasn't their best machine. You can still get them here in the US online at WWW.RAINBOWAPPLIANCE.COM for $239.00 plus about $100.00 shipping (US only). Unfortunately, I think The Neptune TL met the same fate as the Whirlpool Calypso. Might be fun to order one as a collectable-sort of like the FORD Edsel from the late 1950's!
