P.S.:
I really shouldn't have snarked about Harvest Gold, but it (and Avocado) bring back such horrendous memories of the years when Mid-Century simplicity gave way to Mediterranean madness. Modern houses of the '50s and the early '60s were so clean-lined and simple and attractive. By the '70s, everything was in bilious colours, with shag carpet and moulded-plastic "carvings" all over everything. I just can't work up much affection for the '70s, sorry. I was, you know, there.
