I certainly wouldn't get rid of Maytag's best washer ever made over this minute problem! There are only a few places where the clogged occurred. The outer tub outlet, drain hose between outer tub outlet and pump, pump, and drain hose between pump and drainpipe (drainpipe may be clogged and NOT the washer). If you have a siphon between the drain hose outlet from the pump and drain hose to the drainpipe, it may be clogged as well. The best way to go about it without making a watery mess would be backwards. Make sure the drainpipe isn't clogged, then the siphon (if so equipped), drain hose, pump, drain hose between pump and outer tub outlet, and lastly the outer tub outlet. It won't cost you anything but a little time. |
