mid 70s.
Now we know what GE did with all the extra parts from the various brands they manufactured at the time(JCPenny/Penncrest/GE/Hotpoint)

Throw the extra parts together in hodpodge:
install the dryer door handle too close to the edge of the door(just to be different)
use a Penncrest side swing top for the washer
use JCPenny knobs
use beige, panel insert free, Hotpoint control panels
with GE Chrome end panel trim pieces.

and
ship it to Canada.

sadly they are not mind i just saved the picture from an add but i knew an aunt of mine when i was younger that add those then she replace them with a ge washer and dryer follow by a kenmore.

Gotta love that side-opening lid, I hated when Hotpoint got rid of that here.

Are some of the graphics on these in French? I had a Canadian dryer a while back, GE based, and it was all in French.......
