Well, I sent the timers off both the 1955 Kelvinator washer & dryer to the above company in Cambridge, Ontario last week. Today I got an email stating that they cannot repair either one. Funny thing is that the dryer timer is really just a clockwork timer made by the Lux Company and just needed to be cleaned. The 3 contacts worked, it's just that you had to put a little pressure on the dial to start the timer ticking.

So I think I'm going to beg Reeco Timer in Florida to check them out. I'll keep the club informed.

No kidding?
I tried asking them if they might be able to help with my dead '56 GE combination timer and they replied 'No' flat out!

Please do post what happens with Reeco in Florida. Sure hope they can fix your Kelvy timers!

Hope you have better luck!

I spoke to REECO recently and they informed me that they had ceased rebuilding all domestic timers of any type. They are doing only commercial work now. Supposedly they also tossed out all of their domestic stock of repair parts and timers, but give them a shout with what you have and they may be able to help you. I missed out on a KDS19 timer they had by delaying my decicion. However, I contacted the Canadian company and they said they would rebuild my old one. Still procrastinating or hesitating getting it done so I better rethink it and make a decision. The 19 isn't exactly a high demand machine, though mine did work incredibly well with the Hot Air dryer I installed in it!
