It sounds very much like the 59 we had till I left home for college. Aqua lighted dial, white toggle switches on the left. Ours was the last year the filter flos had no spin brake and I believe was also the last year for the copper filter pan. How I wish I had not let my mom dispose of that machine when the tranny went bad. If I had known I would someday find this group I would have kept it. :(

Jeffish, is it for sale?

Hi,

I am looking for a GE1050X. If you are interested in selling your filter flo, let me know.

Either way, would love to see pictures of it!

Lighted dials

Funny, I can't ever remember seeing the dial on a 58-59 GE washer lit up. I did see the dryer's dial lighted (More of a green color) when running. I never understood that, figured only the dryer dial was lit, not the washers. Now Lesto says his was growing up. I must not remember like I thought I did. Oh well, I'm rambling about nothing, just thought somebody would help me refresh my memory.

Yeah it could be for sale if i cant get the matching dryer to work...Tis machine has the aqua color and red color dial on right...five toggles on left with water saver and the green basket

If i sell the dryer has to go with it and the set would be $800 beleieve it or not that is what i paid

digi camera

Don't need digital camera, use regular film camera, have pictures put on CD when developed. Everyone offers this service nowadays.
