1. What year is this from?

2. What's a Lady Kenmore Rotoswirl doing in a GE washer?

3. The "aircraft-type cable suspension system" is interesting. Did it work any better than other balancing systems?

That's the famous "ramp activator". Very effective wash action with that agitator. The cable suspension I've found to work quite well too. I'd say it's pretty rare that a load goes too out of balance for the machine. The whole machine itself was just such a great design and I was so sad to see it go.
