I used a SAV515DEWW (I think) "Legacy Series" and it was a horrible piece of junk. I believe that the SAV series is the Amana design (as opposed to the Norge design) hence the nickname of an "Amanatag." Re-list it and get one that starts with LA and says "Dependable Care". The SAV's are famous for center seal/bearing issues. The upper trans housing wasn't milled right and caused the seal to leak and the bearings (tub and milkstool) to crap out. Fixing it can inspire ill feelings even for those who know how. These were made in the Speed Queen's Searcy plant which is now a smoking hole. Best advice is to put as much distance inbetween these and yourself as possible... RCD |
