Hi all... According to an appliance repairman, the control panel on our Kenmore Dishwasher is shot, and that's why it wont work. So I've decided to take it out and replace it with a new one, and see if that doesn't solve the problem. Does anyone know where to get these?? Ebay? Since it's still a relatively new dw, maybe I could get one brand new straight from Whirlpool?

Here's a picture of the control panel

Here's a picture of the actual "motherboard". How do I take this out? It looks like there's just tabs holding it in, but are there wires underneath that can be disconnected? Also, would it be easier just to buy a whole new set up? Meaning the white trim panel with all the buttons...

Jed go to this link at repairclinic to see if one of these would fit. Kinda pricy but not as much as a new DW.

Thanks for the link... I went ahead and ordered a new control panel. Can't wait for it to get here so I can see if it works! I'll keep everyone posted, and if it does work... we'll have some maiden BobLoad photos!!!

I hate to suggest this, after you ordered a part...

But you might try disconnecting the wires on the control board and cleaning the contacts with contact cleaner. Since a repairman has diagnosed the "problem" part, this could be a waste of time. But I remember fixing a dishwasher that was acting up, and had a similar "probable" problem.

I take it the attempt to sell the vintage KitchenAid failed?
