Filter-Flo Find

Hello Jay,

From what I can tell, the filter flo looks like it is from the early 90's. Reason why, I have inquired about several filter flo washers on CL and the owners responded they purchased the washer or dryer around 1990 or 1991.

Also, I remember when I was a kid I called GE and requested literature on their washers and dryers. And I remember looking through the brocure and seeing the washer you have pictured. And the brocure was from the summer of 1990.

As for the dryer. It looks like it's from the mid to late 80's. (IMHO).

You can buy the filter. Follow the link below:

The Filter Flo cost only $14.20 and it's item number 2485. Maybe you could luck up and find one on E-Bay for chaper.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks So Much!

I appreciate the info. I love how it washes. The dryer does a great job on auto dry which is great considering the age. I m very pleased.

Yup that looks like the first full-sized (gas) dryer I bought in 1985/1986.

I spy toggleswitches! I think this near BOL washer may be about 10 years older than originally thought.

Yes Dave~

The Toggleswitches are a dead give away.

I think that Filter Flo is maybe from the late 70's to very early 80's.

Here is a pic of my Filter Flo (1984) You will LOVE this machine! Does yours have a mini basket?

The washer is 1988-ish... The red and yellow borders with the black gives it away. I bought the matching dryer new when I moved to Memphis in 1988. I think the same color sceme with the wood grain was before this, and then the dryer in the pic with the washer was just before that.
