Hi Guys.
Finally got round to getting back on here. Thought i'd share some photos with you. Some of these units are mine that are part of my collection, some of these other items are up for grabs if anybody interested.

This Hoover Spinarinse is a bit tatty, but is up for grabs if anybody interested.

Also, having a problem downloading multiple photos onto this link, can anybody give me any pointers, or do I have to do link for each item?

Bjorn

This is one of my treasures, all fully functioning. Have put in replacement timer. You might recognise her from ebay few months ago. I do need the back cabinet for it though if anybody has one lying about coz i put it somewhere safe and cant find it DOH! She does still need tidying up and bit tlc but is used most days.

This is one of my lateset finds. Unfortunately, bigger job than first thought. Have found replacement outer tub, fitting new bearings and see what else we need

Post# 303420 , Reply# 9   9/13/2008 at 10:49 (5,696 days old) by hoovermad (England)

And finally... couple of old Hotpoint top loaders. One of them is new gen vesion, the other a little newer. Keep going back to them and having another go, then loose interest and put em away again!

Hi there Bjorn

Lovely machines you have there, thanks for sharing. I assume it's the other Rob who wanted the S118 as I have the later version. It really does look nice though. I hope Paul and Rob can have it!

All the best

Rob

PS here is the advert for a similar Zanni. I take it the S118 was the 520 spin version?

Welcome to the group!

Fantastic machines there! Some real classics I must say.

Well If I may just step in and be mega cheeky I will take those Hoovers off you If I may once I have spoken to Paul?

I guess we will have to arrange postage on them but we defo will have them off you - they are both missing links in our Hoover Turbopower collection!

My aunty Carol had the grey Turbo 2 1994 - 1998 and the cream TP is a missing link in the other half.

Let me know what you want for them in an email and how much to post to us.

Once again welcome to the club.

Rob and PAul

Hi there Bjorn.

Remember seeing one of those Zanussi's lead on its back at the top of the scrap metal skip, at the tip which is five minutes walk from my grandma's in Lancashire. Would have been 15 maybe 20 years ago. The skip was one of the big ones - I climbed the stairs and it was wedged in teetering on the edge, in wonderful visual condition. Wonderful looking machines.

Can I ask - what model number is that beige/yellow Turbopower Boost? Have never seen one of those before.

Cheers
Paul

Morning!

Thanks again for the welcome. Always try n read here, but rarely have time to post.

Any hoo, the Zanussi s118t is dual spin 400/800. Amazingly quiet though.

The yellow Turbopower model no is U2716.

Havent got much more in my collection, although i have got winging its way to me a Hoover 800 Autocare and a Hoover dryer, think the model of that is D6042, but couldnt swear to it. I'll take some photos n post em when they arrive in the flesh.

If any of you guys are looking for anything in particular, let me know n i'll keep my eyes open because do have fair few units come through the shop here. Alos, do have accounts with major parts suppliers, so again, gissa shout if you need help n i see what i can do.

Bjorn

Hi Bjorn

Thanks for the offer! If you ever see an early chrome door or heavens above a square door Creda I would be more than happy. These are pretty rare though! Also depends where you are based.

Take care

Rob

Hi Rob

By the chrome door Creda, do you mean the ones with large square orange buttons and timer on left? If so, i'm gonna really upst you because scrap man took one away about 3 weeks ago. Needed bearings on it. Will keep my eyes open tho

Bjorn

OMG Bjorn...

I sooo hope I am a bit confused and it wasnt a Creda square door - see the 10200 below - that got scrapped. ooooohhhhh the pain!

A basic rule of thumb (for this forum anyway - totally different set of rules for the blue forum obviously) could be that if anything remotely vintage - say pre 1988ish (dates are down to the individual) arrives on your doorstep, and you have no use for it, mention it on a thread. See if you get a reaction.

Please dont let it have been a square door Creda - pretty please!

Cheers
Paul

or a .........................................................................well..........................................................the list could go on and on and on and on and on.

Hi Paul / Bjorn I think we are all desperate for one of these LOL!

At the very least pics and perhaps a vid would be great one day.

My Nan's best friend next door neighbour had the square door above. It used to really take off on spin and would do lots of short bursts. We used to drink tea in her kitchen and I couldn't keep my eyes off it! Apparently the timer went and it was scrapped sometime in the early 90s. It was bought in 1979, probably the last of the square door Creda's.

Hi Paul,

Wasn't the square door Creda but was one of the black fascia ones. From memory it had 3 orange buttons on front, not two tho!

I do try n hook out anything that might be of interest but have to be bit selective because of space. Will make better effort to post on here for you all thou..... watch this space!

Just had quick look at scrap pile, ony thing that might be of interest to somebody is a Zanussi DW900 in white. Bit grubby and tired looking, but with your capable hands should come up ok lol!

Classics!!!

Hi Bjorn, lovely classic collection you have there!!! those Zanussis where mega popular, but many people where quite dissapointed with the spin speed after using twinnys!!! I remember using one when i homesat a friends house and the washing seemed a lot wetter than coming out of Mums servis 850rpm at the time!!!

Are you a service engineer or do you work in a repair shop etc?? personally am always on the lookout for brown Servis models purple Hotpoints and anything else obsqure!! (which is probably a lot for this hobby)

let us know where you are, my appliance buddy from brum is interested in your stuff, both washers n vacs, he`d love to pop along etc??

RobM, Ohhh Trident, blast from the past, that takes me back, thats where I started out in electricals, fabulous days where they, all the big names, plug in demos, in store demonstrators (you know the sort Max Factor Faces, American Tan Tights & Killer Heels!!! marvelous) all out for the sale!!!

Bjorn, am needing a dryer for this creda electra, was it similar to this that went by the by?? Congrats on the Hoover dryer, that one missed me by, which is one I`ve hunted for a while now!!! cheers, Mike

Oh Mike I am soooo envious! What a lovely machine. I'm so pleased one of these have survived. If you get a chance to take anymore pics (especially the drum) or indeed a video that would be great! However, I know how time consuming it can be, so no worries if you can't!

I hope you are well and I watched and enjoyed very much that documentary on youtube.

Take care

Rob

Here is the Creda Brochure from the 70s

Hi Mike,

I'm the owner of a shop/service centre in Lymington in Hampshire down on the south coast. I'm a tv/audio engineer by trade, but fell into repairing appliances about 15 years ago because always been keen on them.

That looks very similar to the Creda that was here, will keep my eyes open for any little nuggets for you!

The Hoover washers I want to keep as really like old Hoover machines, but others could go to good home.

Think i was lucky with that Hoover D6042 on ebay, only found it by accident. Will take photos of that and the Autocare 800 when they here. Should arrive on Saturday YEY!

Also, has anyone seen the vintage AEG washer/Dryer on ebay yet? Looks really cool
