Hi all

Haven't done one of these for a while. Throughout my childhood Chrome and Square doors were the norm! I loved them both. Here is a dedication to these lovely machines.

Firstly an early 80s Hoover round Chrome door.

How could we forget the Liberator. Does anyone know when Hotpoint dropped the Chrome doors? Was it around 85?

Sorry have posted so many times but it is a classic!

And finally, similar to the classic Indesit L series.

My mums first machine was a chrome door Hoover and a "matching" square door dryer. They got it in 1983. I always thought it was a good looking machine. I guess there was no driers to mactch the round door hoovers? Always thought it was a shame.

I suppose my first machine has a chrome door! Won't post a picture though since its a new machine haha

Can't wait to see what this thread turns up!

David

Don’t forget the hotpoint 95622 or 95620, I also had a hoover Logic in the early 90's with round crome door, 800 spin hated it, nasty, noisy and jumped around the kitchen like a mad donkey on heat. Lee

The style of the Colston in panel #303947 appears to be what was avaialable here as a washer-dryer combo that my great auntie had.
