Just need to ask you a favour or two with you being in the repair business if this is ok??

Myslef and Paul have a few parts we need to recondition a few collection pieces and you may be able to help if you have such parts?

We are willing to pay what we need to cough up and postage.

*We need the earlier side strips X 4 for Hotpoint 95 series washer and dryer

*A biggie! a front panel in Cotswold Biege for the Hoover Turbomaster U5096 Total System Electronic - see pic.
Finally got one of these after years of searching but its front cover is rather stained.....
ALSO for this cleaner 3 xHoover Beige Tools, Upholstery tool, dusting brush, and crevice tool.

another request in next post...

Discolouration....

It would be so meaningful to be able to put a new front on this some day soon as it would be 20 years to the year since my Mum bought hers.

Hi Rob!

Just quick note to say i've read n leave it with me. I'll see what i can do!
Can you give me model no's for the Hotties that need side strips pls? Might make quest easier, you know what these spares companies are like (computer sez no!)

Do like that new gen hot of urs. Nevr been Hotpoint fan until recently, probably because always grew up with Hoover Autos i suppose.

Just to change subject briefly, that Hoover 800 Autocare that i bought of Ebay, went to collect it last week n they'd lost it! AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Couldn't believe it, how can you lose a washing machine? They think it might of been stolen from the warehouse. How annoying was that! Have still got that D6042 dryer on its way though, should be here on Friday.

I'll get back to you about them parts one way or the other. Fingers crossed it good news!

Bjorn

Hi Bjorn.

am intrigued about the tale of your Autocare 800 purchase!

did it happen to be the machine I have posted a piccy of below?

If it was, then you are not the only person to have been messed around by this joker selling machines on behalf of a charity!!!!!!!!!!

If it is the same machine, suffice to say you probably never were going to receive that machine and he/she will know exactly where your Autocare 800 is!

Paul

Yep, that the one! I guess you have all had experience of him before then? Apparantly it was being sold on behalf of the British Heart Foundation in Barnsley, who i did speak to on several occasions. Whole thing was atale of woe from the start. The courier who was meant to collect it went bust, got someone else there to pick it up who then found it had "gone missing". Bloody annoying!

Rob, still waiting to hear anything bout those bits, as soon as i hear i'll shout. Perhaps no news = good news?

Rob,

Just to let you know, have had a response back for one of the items you were after. I can get cabinet trim front/side panel in brown. They have them in stock at about £5 per pair. Is that what you were after? If not, can you let me know model number .

Ta

Bjorn

Hi Bjorn.

I might be doing the seller a dis-service but it seems strange that your newly purchased machine was 'lost'!

mine and rob's attempt at buying two cleaners from this same seller was thwarted by what we reckon was the seller outbidding us, to see what the cleaners were worth.

the cleaners allegedly sold but then, shortly afterwards, reappeared with the starting price raised from 99p to just beneath what Rob and I maxed out at.
the story was thet the original winner of the cleaners suddenly decided she didnt want them!

mmmmmmmmmmm - yes - right!!!!!

it was all very suspicious to say the least, the dodginess of which was pretty much confirmed by the rather childish (on the sellers part i hasten to add) correspondance which followed.

methinks your machine (and the two cleaners) were posted to test their value on the open market with little or no intention of parting with them.

anyways enough of that.

really looking forward to the, fingers crossed, safe arrival of your D6042.

will you be posting some piccies? please say yes, please say yes.

all the best and hope that you didnt get your fingers too heavily financially burnt re: the autocare.
Paul

p.s if the autocare gets found and ends up in your possession, then i will take some of the above statement back
and will put it down to a bad experience just affecting me and rob.
but it just seems weird that two buyers of vintage appliances, from the same seller, were messed around in such weird ways so close together.
