Whilst having a flick through Australian eBay,, i came across this.

I know its a hotpoint, however it says it has a favorites selection and that its whisper quiet!!

I've not seen one like this with two dials other than washer dryer models. and they were noisy beggars at that!

Anyone enlighten me with these machines please?

Dan

The seller is lying through their teeth.

It is a 5 kg machine (not 7kg) and they scream, they are incredibly noisy as anyone familiar with UK Hotpoints would know.

I have repaired a couple of these machines, they have the stupid "pecker" (don't laugh Americans, that is the correct part name) for the door interlock. Which always fails...

The two dials are temperature and timer.

Chris

Hi dan not much enlighteneing needed I think, as you know its a Hottie in disguise you`ll remeber that growl especially on spin...Lol i had the 9934 washer dryer, must admit for its limitations it was a great machine...

Chris, Ohh the pecker!!! and of course on the Washer Dryers you couldnt access the drum until it had cooled down and then the interlock kicked in...LOl

I went to a Hotpoint roadshow last week, on the stand they had a competition running, there where three podiums each with a part on, guess the part, win a prize!!! I walked up to the stand and was talking to one of the demonstrators who asked "Guess the prize Sir" I said "thats a Hotpoint Washer dryer Fan Unit" and If I`m correct its from a 9934...From behind the stand came this booming voice from my Account Director...OMG...I told you he`d know!!!..This is the Washer Geek I was telling you about... he said to the demonstrator who was looking well perplexed at this time!!!

"How the hell did you know that" he said, Why Wouldnt I , I said, "I sold them from when they first came out", and our staff product training back then was to take the top and back off and "Learn all About it"..lol

Oh how times have changed!!!...Mike
