I happened to notice this on Craigslist here in Montreal last week and well, I bought it yesterday!!
I am so excited! It is in beautiful condition - I never thought GE had lighted controls. I hope to be able to get it installed at the house in Ogden in the next couple of weeks (I need a truck).
I am sure someone on the board came across a similar model if not the same one recently.
I just flipped at the Synthetic Suit De-Wrinkler setting.

What a beauty!

I'm glad to see that you snagged it - your synthetic suits will be happy too!

Thanks! Pity it wasn't turquoise!!
Now I will, of course, have to find the matching washer...

That's a great find, you'll really be happy with it's performance. I love the seller's description! No stinky and moldy clothes for you now!

The seller was an absolute hoot - get this, the dryer was in the house when he bought it from the original owners this summer. He says the dryer is a 1950 model in his description, but I think it may be a '59.
I noticed the timer dial has a sprinkler setting, but I didn't see a bottle or anything to fill. Anyone know how this was supposed to work?

A beautiful appliance! That one is a 1958 model (the matching washer is in the "museum" of this website). I believe the sprinkler was a cartridge that held water and could be placed inside the dryer so that as it tumbled it sprinkled the clothes.
