My Miele tumble dryer of 9 years has gone wrong for the second time. It's the same problem as before-the heater.Last time i had it insured and it cost the the company £200 for the repair. The on/off switch is also faulty and can take a couple of minutes to connect so i went to John lewis and purchased a new dryer. Instead of a Miele, i have gone for a Siemens WT46E389GB,which although almost the same price as the Miele, has a 8kg load so i figured clothes wouldn't crease so much and a glass door so i can see the action!Have i made a wise choice?I have to wait for it as they've sold out so i could change my mind Thoughts please!!!!

Hee! Damn why do you live in London! I could easly fix you problem, if I had the right parts. It's not that hard to change. And it's an easy to fix machine. So if you still have it just change an sell!
Your siemens is a very good dryer only a bit more plastic..., just clean your filter and filtergap and you can enjoy your siemens for many many years! (Did you check out the ecologic? or siemens bluetherm?)

Hi thanks for the reply. No, the only model they had on display was the one i bought.I see siemans also do a "A" rated dryer as well though! It's a shame i don't know how to repair it because it will cost me £9.00 for them to take away an otherwise pristine condition dryer!! I notice the siemans dosen't reverse tumble-will that make a difference do you think?
Well they claim to have enough room in the drum to dry a load without tangling it. So reversing or not, you'll see. But a thing I noticed is that they do pauses? Do they? Or only condensing dryers?
