Oh it's a vintage GE alright.

Near BOL but without a closeup, hard to tell what it has. I'd guess the year to be 1970 because of the style of panel. The knob in the middle is probably for water level, and it could even have a mini-basket. I remember the brochure from that year and they had a whole line of models with the tall lit backsplash, the medium backsplash and then the low BOL style backsplash with both Heavy Duty 18, and Heavy Duty 16(small) capacity machines. They were all over the place. Ask the owner to give you a close-up of the panel and ask questions about the machine. Even though I'm a GE fan, $50 is steep for this model, unless it's one you covet.

I'd get it. Bet it's a V-16 from the early 70's. A very good machine BOL or not.

Did GE ever make a washer/dryer with a lighted dial?

Hound this on Craigslist in Kansas City.....Looks like the dial and buttons may be lighted or possible just from the flash of the camera....anyone have an idea what the year might be?

Year of dryer

No idea as to the exact year, but from the console styling, I would guess it to be from the early to mid 1990s.

Have a good one,

James

SaltySam,

Check out this recent thread. GE did make lighted dials in the 50's and 60's. Apparently for a short while they did make a late 60's TOL pair wit lighted dial and buttons. Take a look at this thread.

Hey Jon, I remember seeing that when FilterPlo posted it. That is an awesome set....I'm not much of a GE person but that set is fantastic!
